I will keep the columns short on words during the next several issues in order to run as many of the photos as possible, because everyone wants to see his or her picture in the paper. Here is a “Save the Date” item, however, that many people who lived in the area in the 1970s will want to attend. On Oct. 8, Aspen State Teachers College will hold a homecoming at the Elks Club and Bobby Mason and his band will play.Gene Adcock held his annual Italian garden party on July 16 and in addition to his antipasto and vino, treats of the afternoon included the viewing of Gene’s newest marble and bronze sculptures.Aspen Santa Fe Ballet opened its summer season with the presentation of the Paul Taylor Dance Company, underwritten by Les Dames d’Aspen. Following the opening performance, Bridget and Ken Badon entertained at a cocktail reception at their Aspen home.
Aspen artist Susan Gurrentz gave her second one-woman exhibition at the Aspen Grove Fine Arts Gallery on July 15 and 16.Undercurrent … Pick up your feet when walking in the mall, or you may trip on a brick and fall flat on your face!
