Bonnie Eileen Olsen

Aspen, CO ColoradoBonnie Eileen Olsen, 61, was born in Darby, Pa., on Jan. 31, 1946, and passed away in Dallas on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007. Bonnie lived in Aspen from 1974 to 1988.Bonnie spent her career as a registered nurse, including 15 years at Aspen Valley Hospital. She retired early to work as a massage therapist and to care for her brother, who she loved very much. Bonnie was a truly devoted grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her brother Gary Shisler, and her step-granddaughter, Caroline Kirk. Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Jamie Ali and her husband, Kanish; stepsons Douglas Kirk and his wife, Alison, and David Kirk; stepdaughters Julie Kirk and Jennifer Bauer and her husband, Tim; brother Raymond Shisler; and stepgrandchildren Kate Kirk, Benjamin Kirk, Mackenzie Bauer and Karina Bauer.Memorials may be made to the Caringbridge Foundation, an organization founded to help families facing illness, treatment or recovery.
