BOULDER, Colo. ” A man’s body has been found amid the Flatirons rock formations west of Boulder, but authorities say there’s “no clear indication” of foul play.

A hiker reported the body at about 4 p.m. Saturday in a gully between two of the towering Flatirons, which are popular with climbers and hikers.

Authorities haven’t released the man’s name or age. Boulder County sheriff’s deputies are investigating and an autopsy is planned.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sue Cullen says the man doesn’t appear to match any missing-persons reports, and no abandoned vehicles were found nearby.

Cullen says no climbing gear was found with the body but investigators haven’t ruled out the possibility that the man had been climbing.
