Body beautiful

Dear Editor:

Let’s hear a round of applause for the sculptor and artist Blaine Peters ( “In Silt, new statue is the butt of jokes, source of outrage,” The Aspen Times and Glenwood Post Independent, Sept. 2).

Forrest Jacobs should be the one who is embarrassed, for his lack of class. The human body is nothing to be ashamed of. Mr. Jacobs, “everyone” does not think that “it’s not appropriate for that to be showing.” I am sure Leonardo Da Vinci is turning over in his place of peaceful rest.

I hope other artists and appreciative viewers speak up.

Nancy Chromy
