Bob the pretender
Hoping to ride a current of voter discontent to defeat the hardest-working senator in the state, Bob Rankin pretends to live in Aspen. His real home, a luxurious estate in Garfield County, is outside of Senate District 5.
Mr. Rankin moved to a small apartment in Aspen so that he can pretend to live in a Senate district that he pretends to know something about. Manipulating residency requirements may be legal, but it doesn’t say much for the character of the candidate. We don’t need pretenders and manipulators in the state Senate. Let Mr. Rankin go back to his real home; vote for Gail Schwartz.
