Blue run fossils

Dear Editor:It’s all very exciting: the discovery of the remains of several mammoths and now a mastodon at the Ziegler Reservoir site in Snowmass Village. Having been embalmed in a peat bog, these remains will probably have many more secrets to reveal to all of us once the scientists from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science have had a full chance to examine them. The only thing we know for certain at this point is that they were likely intermediate skiers.Jay HammondGlenwood Springs
