Bikers in danger from golf balls
Dear Editor:I would like to raise something that I have discussed from time to time with members of the City Council, the mayor and a few of the county commissioners. It is apparent to anyone that uses the bike path between the city and the Airport Business Center that this path runs dangerously close to the golf courses. I have seen errant balls fly close to the bike path. Neither the municipal course nor the Maroon Creek course has adequate shielding separating the path from these courses. The municipal course has some trees and Maroon Creek has nothing. Nor are there any sort of warning signs either on the path or the courses.Someone is going to get whacked by a golf ball considering the intense use of this bike path. I just hope it isn’t me.Jeremy BernsteinAspen
