Bike to Work Day returns to Aspen on June 28

The city of Aspen’s Bike to Work Day is set for June 28.

Those who pedal to work are invited to stop by Paepcke Park that morning between 7 and 10 for free food, gifts and bike-safety checks from Four Mountain Sports. Those who wear helmets will get a gift. The event is open to all levels of cyclists.

Raffles will be held for bike gear, tunes, restaurant gift cards, and the grand prize, which is a staycation in Aspen. Also offered will be Aspen hotel and restaurant gift cards, bus passes, Wheeler Opera House tickets and more.

Those who visit to pledge to drive less this summer will receive a free starter kit that includes their choice of a Roaring Fork Transportation Authority value card, We-cycle season pass, bike/walk gift card or car-wash coupon, along with entries for a chance to win weekly prizes.

This year’s Bike to Work sponsors include the city’s Transportation Department, Four Mountain Sports, Wheeler Opera House and We-cycle.
