Big deal: Mountain House sells

ASPEN ” The property is known as “The Mountain House,” a 24-room bed-and-breakfast just a few blocks west of downtown Aspen, has changed hands for nearly $8 million.
Mountain House Partnership is controlled by John Werning and Ralph Melville. Melville, whose family runs the Mountain Chalet, paired up with Werning to open the Mountain House in 1986. The new owner, controlled by Michael Schilling, is based in Breckenridge.
