Bidding farewell

Dear Editor:

I wanted to say thank you as it has been an honor to serve many of you as director of catering at the Hotel Jerome for the past three years! I have been blessed to have worked with the greatest parties, nonprofits and event professionals in the country!

An amazing opportunity has come up for myself and my family so we will be hitting the road and moving to Sedona, Ariz., where I will be the director of catering and conference services for the Enchantment Resort and Mii Amo Spa. This resort and spa is amazing and rated No. 1 Spa Destination Resort in the World by Travel and Leisure. I hope that if you ever need a retreat, vacation or group meeting that you will contact me. My new email will be ksiegr@enchantmentresort.com and phone will be (928) 204-6036.

I could not have had more fun or have learned so much if not for the following people as a shorts lists as there are many! Tony DiLucia, Jane Floyd, Nancy Snell, Jason Burns, Debra Doyle, Marcy Knieper, Jesse Bennas, Katie Keeling, Sarah Reynolds, ACRA, Aspen Peak, Aspen Valley Medical Foundation, Aspen Club and Spa, Aspen Sports Medicine, Nina and Georgia with Aspen Historical Society, Pam, Winston, Bryan and Todd with Aspen Gay Ski Week (we will be back!), Meg Wilson, Heath Manning and Susan Peters with Halcyon Productions (who have just put in an amazing sound system into the Hotel Jerome Ballroom), all of you as well as the many others will truly be missed and hope our paths cross again often.

I have been able to witness some of the most out-of-this-world parties from Shitkickers (will miss you Sandra and Jim!) to The Event (Swannie, will miss you more than you will ever know!) and who could forget Fishhouse Punch, Aquarius Ball (Peggy and Billie, you better call me!) and of course Sneak a Peak ball, which I hope to actually be invited as a guest now Jesse!

I have been privileged to work on some great fundraisers and benefits that must continue to provide the support to this community such as Les Dames, Aspen Valley Medical Celebration of Giving, AVSC, Theatre Aspen, Response Chocolate Classic and of course the Aspen Historical Society, where Hotel Jerome was the first ever hotel in Aspen to win an Icon Award for the 120th Anniversary Gala!

To those mentioned and those not (due to space) my sincerest heartfelt thank you for all that you have done for me and for making Aspen feel like a true home and family! I hope our paths cross soon and often.

God save the queen and God bless the Jerome!

Kevin Siegrist, Matt Willprecht, Stella and Sophie
