Betty Kerr Lavold, 75, of Bemidji, Minn., and a former resident of Aspen, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at her home in Bemidji.

Lavold was born on June 28, 1932, in Fargo, N.D., the daughter of Gunnar and Birdie (Johnson) Kerr. She and her husband, Jack, were residents of Aspen from 1980 until 2000. Betty worked for Orthopaedic Associates, and Jack was a banker in Aspen.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Lavold of Bemidji, Minn.; sons Jay (Julie) Lavold of Bemidji, Minn., and James (Kathy) Lavold of Jupiter, Fla.; grandchildren Jamie, Jason, Scott, Michael, Stephanie, and William; great-grandchild Josi Volcke; brother Wayne (Sharon) Kerr; nieces Julie Kerr Grant and Jodi Kerr Hanson; aunt Eloise Johnson; and cousins Michelle Johnson Kindle and Janeen Johnson Ringuette.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, Minn., with Vicar Becky Vredenburg of Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at the Cease Family Funeral Home and one hour before the services.
