Better bulbs in Basalt

Dear Editor:

One easy step to help curb global warming is replacing one or more conventional light bulbs with efficient compact fluorescent lights (CFLs).

The grassroots group Go Green Basalt will be giving out 100 of these new bulbs for free at Basalt River Days on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Lions Park in Basalt. Thank our forward-thinking utility, Holy Cross Energy, for donating the bulbs.
