Bernard Primosh Popish, 87, passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at home. Bernard was born April 4, 1921, in Aspen to Primosh Popish and Mary D. (Zupancis) Popish. Bernard was a lifetime resident of the valley. Bernard served in the Navy as a medic; he also worked as a mortician at Sardy Funeral Home, and also worked as a clerk at Aspen Lumber & Supply. Bernard married Beverly Joyce Molden on March 3, 1951, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Aspen.Bernard is survived by his wife; son Donald and his wife, Janice, and their children, Lisa and Garret Popish; son Dave Popish and step-daughter Jennifer; son John Popish; daughters Katherine S. Cook (Popish) and her daughters, Jessica and Amber Cook; brothers Joseph, Martin, and Louis Popish and sister Lillian Dalton.Bernards hobbies were gardening and spending time with his family. His greatest joy in life was his family; he always enjoyed spending time with them. A Catholic Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 18 at St. Marys of the Crown in Carbondale.
