Bennet rises above the mud
Dear Editor:
Andrew Romanoff seems to have joined Scott McInnis in imploding midcampaign. After a distinguished career in the Colorado Legislature, Romanoff has assassinated his own character in attempting to destroy that of his Democratic primary opponent, Michael Bennet. Like McInnis’ plagiarism, Romanoff’s attack-ad slander shows more than he intended of his unsuitability for higher office.
Bennet has served Colorado well in his two-year tenure and deserves a six-year extension. There are character rather than policy differences between the two candidates, and Bennet has been given a new reason for voter approval: He is not Andrew Romanoff.

Professional dancers return to Aspen to perform in ‘The Nutcracker’
Roaring Fork Valley natives Emily Ridings and Nikki Ferry have come full circle when it comes to dance. Both studied dance with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet (ASFB) as kids, continued their training with other prominent schools, and now return this weekend, as ASFB presents “The Nutcracker” at Aspen District Theater.
