Benefit draws amazing turnout
Dear Editor:
As many of you already know, our community has lost a wonderful man, father, husband, friend and dentist, Dr. Scott Alter. On May 12 we held a memorial benefit for Scott’s family at Smoke Modern BBQ in Basalt. The turnout was truly amazing!
I want to personally thank our community. The benefit was by far one of the most beautiful displays of community, love, support and teamwork. There are not enough words to express my gratitude and love for this valley and
the way it cares for its own.
I want to thank everyone
who donated silent-auction items, volunteered their time to coordinate, ran the event, attended the event and purchased the amazing silent-auction items.
A special thanks to Jamie Theriot, from Smoke Modern BBQ, for closing down his restaurant for our benefit. I know Jennifer, Samantha and Jack are so grateful for the love and support
that they have received and
will continue to receive during this difficult time.
