Bells tolling

Ding-dong, ding-dong. That’s the sound of the bells tolling, and for whom they toll is the one known as “Todd Coghi.”

This one has been making a bit of a splash in the papers lately, and there are those among us readers – myself included – who believe that he is a fake writing under an assumed name. Conceivably a latter-day edition of Lee Anne Marlets/Turner Hicks, a bogus tandem that spewed out a series of phony letters to the editor in the not-too-distant past.

Heave to and strike colors, “Todd.” Give us a sign that you really exist. For instance, you might tell us where you came from, how long you’ve been here and whether you just happen to be a friend of Roger Marolt’s.

Show us you’re the real deal or go the way of those two other phony writers. I wouldn’t be suprised if you were born here several years after I settled down here (1958).

Now then, “Todd” (or whoever you are), show us what you got or button your lip.
