Beaver Creek search continues

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. ” The search for a missing Nebraska woman continued Monday afternoon in the raging waters of Beaver Creek.

The search for Mary Brake, 56, resumed at 7 a.m. Monday. On Sunday, the search officially became a “recovery effort” for a body instead of a rescue effort, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

Brake was a prominent Lincoln, Neb., Realtor who disappeared after the horse she was riding fell while crossing the creek Friday evening.

She was headed to Beano’s Cabin, an upscale restaurant on Beaver Creek Mountain, with her family.
