BASALT – Colorado Parks and Wildife is reminding the public that the Basalt State Wildlife Area Shooting Range will be closed to the public March 26 through 29. The facility will be the site of a portion of the National Disabled American Veterans Winter Sports Clinic.

Along with assistance from Colorado Parks and Wildife, the Roaring Fork Valley Sportsman Association will host disabled veterans as they participate in various competitions, including trap and target shooting, during the week-long event.

This year, nearly 400 disabled veterans from across the country, including those from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, will attend the clinic March 25 through 30 in Snowmass Village.
