Basalt recreation thanks
Dear Editor:The Basalt Recreation Department would like to thank the people who helped make the Tiny Tot Camp with Celebrate the Beat a joy to see. The kids spent a week with Tracy Straus, John Swarthout, Terry Bannon and Edwin Lee Gibson learning dance steps, building their own stage props, and making their own costumes. The big show at the farmer’s market in Aspen was spectacular. I would like to thank Terry Lewis and Jewel Heisig of The Gym in Basalt for allowing us to use their space for our rehearsals and helping out. And thanks to Kathy Strickland with the city of Aspen for letting us set up our performance at the farmer’s market in Aspen. We have two a week-camp coming up in August so feel free to call Basalt Recreation if you would like to be a part of another spectacular show.Dorothy HowardBasalt Recreation
