Basalt names finalists for police chief’s job

BASALT – Six finalists are in line for the chief’s post at the Basalt Police Department.

On Wednesday, the town of Basalt announced that its citizen advisory panel has whittled the field of applicants down to the following finalists: Terry Brown, of Aurora; Timothy Everley, of Evansville, Ind.; Gregory Knott, of Carbondale; Nick McBroom, of Arnold, Mo.; Keith McPheeters, of Farmington, N.M.; and Rick Needham, of Alamosa.

The panel now is in the process of doing final interviews and making final recommendations to the town.



The panel consists of chairman Matthew Hamilton, Kelley Burke, Leroy Duroux, Tim Belinski, Bennett Bramson, Suzanne Wheeler-DelPiccolo and Adriana Torres.
