Basalt Library critic’s concerns are credible

Dear Editor:

I have known Anne Freedman for 25 years. She is a retired college professor of government, a well-respected professional not given to irresponsible opinions, frivolous comments or petty grievances.

Since residing full-time in the valley, Anne has devoted countless hours to local government, having been twice elected to the Basalt Town Council. She has also served on the board of Colorado Mountain College.

While I am unfamiliar with the situation at the Basalt Library, I am confident that Anne’s position has resulted from a careful consideration of facts, and I think she deserves to be treated with respect.
