Basalt kicks off holidays at Willits Friday, lights Christmas tree downtown Dec. 9

Basalt is kicking off the holidays with a lighting ceremony at Willits Town Center Friday and a tree lighting ceremony downtown on Dec. 9. Both events will be held 4 to 6 p.m.

The Willits event will be held at Triangle Park. It will include the annual Kitchen Collage cookie-baking contest.

The tree lighting will be at Lions Park on Dec. 9. It will include a workshop on holiday ornament making by the Art Base and ArtB2F.



Both events will feature live music and holiday carols, a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, horse drawn carriage rides, goodies and refreshments.
