Basalt honors students of month

BASALT – Six students from Basalt public schools were honored by the Town Council in a public ceremony Tuesday night for “trustworthiness,” one of the six pillars of character.

The students honored from Basalt Elementary School were Annie Shrock, a second grader, and Mariane Gonzalez, a third grader. Those honored from Basalt Middle School were Liam Kelly, an eighth grader, and Brooklyn Koski, a sixth grader. Earning accolades from Basalt High School were Tye Taden and Jade Johnson, both seniors.

The students each got a certificate from the council during a regular meeting and a hearty congratulations, some including hugs and kisses, from their families.
