Basalt fire calls Nov. 5-11

BASALT – Following are the fire and medical calls the Basalt Fire Department responded to Nov. 5 through Sunday.
Nov. 5: Responded to Arbaney Ranch Road for a false fire alarm.
Nov. 6: There was a “malicious” false fire alarm at Basalt High School. There also was a “malicious” false alarm at Basalt Middle School later in the day.
Nov. 6: A medical patient was transported from Holland Hills to Aspen Valley Hospital.
Nov. 6: Responded to a non-injury accident on Highway 82 near mile 22.
Nov. 7: A possible smoke column was reported and determined to be a controlled burn in the Carbondale Fire District. Later in the day, a construction controlled burn was reported on Frying Pan Road. A fire officer determined it to be safe and controlled.
Nov. 7: An accidental false fire alarm sounded at the Eagle County Road and Bridge building on JAW Drive.
Nov. 8: A medical patient was transported from Emma Road to Valley View Hospital.
Sunday: Responded to a non-injury accident at mile marker 18 on Highway 82.
Sunday: Responded to a car fire. Address wasn’t provided.
