Basalt fire and medical calls

BASALT – Following are the fire and medical calls made to the Basalt Fire Department from March 5 through Sunday:

March 5 at 8:02 a.m.: A medical call to Southside Drive. No treatment or transport.

March 5 at 2:28 p.m.: A noninjury vehicle accident at 27000 Highway 82.



March 5 at 3:32 p.m.: A smoke-detector activation on Southside Drive. No hazards found.

March 6 at 5:22 p.m.: A standby request from the Basalt Police Department.




March 7 at 12:42 p.m.: A person on Cottonwood Drive was transported to the hospital for a medical problem.

March 7 at 5:57 p.m.: Mutual aid with Carbondale Fire Department at County Road 161 for a medical problem.

March 7 at 8:31 p.m.: A medical call to Reed Street. The person was evaluated and released.

March 8 at 8:09 a.m.: A medical call to East Valley Road. The person was evaluated and released.

Saturday at 1:56 a.m.: A controlled burn on Cedar Drive. The owner was advised to extinguish the fire as nighttime burning is not allowed.

Saturday at 7:46 a.m.: A noninjury accident at 30000 Highway 82.

Saturday at 8:22 a.m.: Returned to previous accident when one person started experiencing pain.

Saturday at 9:14 a.m.: A two-vehicle, noninjury accident.

Sunday at 3:31 p.m.: A person under the influence at Basalt Center Circle was transported to the hospital.
