Basalt explores ‘civic engagement’
Aspen, CO Colorado
BASALT ” Basalt officials want to maintain the momentum for increasing civic engagement in the town.
Two meetings will be held this week to discuss ways to “invigorate civic life and increase civic engagement in Basalt,” according to a notice.
Scores of residents turned out for meetings in November to express their opinions on what is needed to enliven Basalt’s downtown core and bring more of its residents together. The next round of meetings will build off the earlier versions.
The first meeting is 5:30 p.m. today in Basalt Town Hall. A shorter meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Town Hall for those who cannot attend Monday. Chris Gates will run the show again.
