Basalt ballot deadline nears
Aspen, CO Colorado
BASALT – Friday, April 2 is the final day to pick up absentee ballots or replacement ballots for Basalt’s municipal election.
Many citizens have registered for mail ballots, and should have received those ballots by now. Town officials urge everyone who received a mail ballot to follow through and vote that ballot. If your mail ballot has been damaged or destroyed, then you may request a replacement ballot at Town Hall no later than Friday.
Election day is Tuesday, April 6, and all mail ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on that day.
Basalt voters will choose three candidates for the Town Council in this election. The candidates are Jim Paussa, Karin Teague, Patrick Maley, Anne Freedman, Mary Holley and Glenn Rappaport.
In order to vote in this election, you must be a registered voter, 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen, and resident of the state of Colorado and of the town of Basalt. The registration deadline for the election has passed.
For more information, contact the Basalt Town Clerk at 927-4701 or pams@basalt.net.
