Bad idea: Car backs into lake at Aspen Ideas Festival

Early birds who attended Aspen Ideas Festival on Monday morning were greeted with someone’s version of a particularly bad idea.
An unidentified person appeared to have backed a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu sedan into a pond at the Aspen Meadows late Sunday night or early Monday morning, said Aspen Assistant Police Chief Bill Linn.
“It looks as though a person drove to the end of Meadows Drive … where it’s a dead end, then tried to back out and ended up in the pond,” he said. “It was on prime display at Aspen Ideas Fest this morning.”
Police first received a call about the vehicle about 5 a.m., though officers did not find anyone inside when they arrived on scene, Linn said. A tow truck later pulled the vehicle out, he said.
Police spoke to the vehicle owner Monday, though the incident remained under investigation and no further information was available.

Colorado public health: ID not required to receive COVID-19 vaccine
The directive is aimed at ensuring non-citizens and others who might not have an ID are included in the vaccination drive. Ignoring it could cause medical facilities and local health agencies to lose access to vaccines.
