Aspen CO Colorado

EL JEBEL – The death of a 36-year-old man living in the Blue Lake subdivision in El Jebel is under investigation by Eagle County authorities.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and an ambulance from the Basalt Fire Department were called to a residence on Buckskin Drive around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday for a man reported to be dead. A roommate returned to the residence to find the man unresponsive, according to a source familiar with the incident. The ambulance crew responded and immediately reported to an emergency responder dispatcher that the man was deceased and that a sheriff’s deputy was contacting the county Coroner’s Office.

A detective with the Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found nothing suspicious, according to Jessie Mosher, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office. The investigation has been turned over to the Coroner’s Office, she said.

The identity of the man wasn’t released Wednesday.
