Authorities arrest 2 suspects in connection with Mesa County shooting
Authorities arrested two suspects Thursday morning in connection with a shooting that injured three people in Mesa County Wednesday night.
They were taken into custody around 9:30 a.m. near Colorado 65 and Interstate 70, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
Alerts warning motorists not to pick up hitchhikers were posted on message boards along the I-70 corridor in Garfield County early Thursday morning.
Originally authorities had said they were looking for three suspects believed to be involved in a shooting in Molina, a small unincorporated community near Collbran in Mesa County. The most recent update from the sheriff’s office did not provide information on a third suspect.
