Authentic, real leadership: Gail Schwartz

Dear Editor:

In this election cycle we are blessed with lots of great candidates, lots of persuasive messages, and plenty of issues to debate on. In other words, we are faced with some difficult choices in some very difficult times.

However, at the state level we have a strong and stabilizing force of leadership in Sen. Gail Schwartz, and she’s made a positive difference for us. There has been no “posing” from her – indeed, she has worked tirelessly and consistently to preserve and enhance the community values that we hold close to heart. Her lifelong contributions to public education, combined with her relentless focus on creating new jobs while protecting our environment, make her uniquely qualified and deserving of another four years in office.

And, having served with Gail for many years in our local Rotary Club, I have come to know her better as a person. She’s a role model for authentic, real leadership – not afraid to volunteer, to serve, to sweat, to listen, to contribute, and to make her community a better place for all. A sound decision-maker, she applies critical reasoning skills and her consensus-building style in a nonthreatening, inclusive manner. She’s consistent, she’s caring and she’s effective. She’s the real deal.

Please join me in re-electing state Sen. Gail Schwartz.
