ATV accident requires rescue

EAGLE COUNTY ” On Sunday, Christina Bergquist, age 35, of Edwards lost control of her ATV and rolled.

A rescue operation was initiated immediately following a 911 call that came in the Vail Public Safety Communication Center at 2:56p.m., reporting an ATV accident on a dirt trail six miles up from the base of Red and White Mountain. Berquist was successfully rescued off of the mountain at 5:57p.m. and transported to Vail Valley Medical Center.

Alcohol was not a contributing factor in this accident.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Vail Mountain Rescue, Greater Eagle River Fire, and Eastern Eagle County Ambulance assisted with the rescue operations.
