Aspentimes.com to launch new comment features
Aspen, CO Colorado
ASPEN – Readers of aspentimes.com will see a new system for online comments, starting June 25.
The system allows for some new features, including:
1. Users will be able to block other users’ comments. The blocked comments remain visible to everyone but the user who chooses to have them blocked. Have a comment nemesis whose opinion you’re tired of reading? Block them.
2. Users will be able to vote on a comment., replacing the “recommend” feature.
3. Users will be able to reply directly to a specific comment, allowing for side conversations outside of the main comment thread. Replies are indented below the original comment.
4. Comments can be shared on social sites like Facebook, e-mailed to friends and will now be assigned a direct link.
The Aspen Times’ online team has tested the changes, but, as with all new web features, bugs may arise. Before reporting a bug, please clear your browser’s cache and restart the browser. If the bug persists, please report it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Start a dialogue, stay on topic and be civil.
If you don't follow the rules, your comment may be deleted.
