Aspen’s Project Graduation a success

Dear Editor:

Thank you Aspen for a very successful Project Graduation 2011 last Saturday night. For the 23rd year all of Aspen High School’s graduating seniors have made it safely through graduation night.

As with every year, The Aspen Club and Spa and Aspen Community came through with invaluable donations to make this night a huge success! The senior parents were outstanding committee chairs, volunteers and provided the majority of the funding. A very special thank-you also to the junior parents for all their help – we could not have done it without you!

We also received very generous outside help from Tony Codd, Dave Lagrua and Leah Moriarty with all of her outstanding photos throughout the week for which we are very grateful.

Most importantly, I must thank my husband, Mark Thomas, who has always been there for this cause for the last four years, no matter what we ask of him.

The Aspen School District and high school staff hosted an unbelievable Senior Week leading up to graduation and as always, provides invaluable support to Project Graduation.

This event every year is the perfect example of how this community comes together to protect its own. I am so very proud to live here in Aspen and to have been a part of this event for the last four years. For me, it has truly been a labor of love.
