Aspen’s little secret |

Aspen’s little secret

Dear Editor:

In New York City, runs are what happen when you wear inferior panty hose. Black diamonds are jewelry. Gondolas are taxis in Venice.

Expecting The New York Times to have a clue about skiing in Aspen or anywhere else for that matter is like asking the Tahiti Times for ice fishing recommendations.

By the way, we just got back two days ago from early season skiing (sorry, no shopping, no jack) and we remind ourselves as we cheer yet more snow reported in our e-mailed Aspen/Snowmass ski report that we are here so we can soon come back there.

Shhussshhhh … let’s all promise not to tell people that there is skiing in Aspen – happy to keep this little known secret to ourselves!
