Aspen’s jean queen
Dear Editor:
Everybody wears jeans but everybody loves affordable jeans … fortunately, Aspen now has just the place to find them! The Aspen Denim Exchange, which recently opened in the Ute City Banque building by Alyssa Lipskey, is my new favorite locally-owned business.
After humble beginnings selling jeans out of the trunk of her car, Alyssa catapulted herself to becoming a successful stylist in New York. I don’t know how she does it but she has the knack for finding the most flattering pair of pants for anyone. Perhaps it’s because she has one of the most varied selection of styles I’ve ever come across.
Oh, and by the way, those jeans you’re not wearing that are taking up room in your closet can be traded for consignment cash if you bring them in.
The decor of the shop is ’70s retro so if you have any vintage photos from that era bring them in as well and make the “wall of fame.”
If you’ve never met Alyssa, go and introduce yourself. She’s the beautiful blond who was on the cover of the Rolling Stone with Kid Rock!
Check it out … and let’s support our local hard-working entrepreneurs.
