Aspen’s fall bus schedule takes effect Sept. 3

The city of Aspen’s fall transit schedule starts Sept. 3 and will continue through Nov. 27.

The Castle Maroon, Cemetery Lane, Hunter Creek and Mountain Valley routes will operate from about 7 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.

The Cross Town Shuttles end for the season Sept. 2. The Cross Town and Galena Street shuttles will begin winter service Nov. 28.

Parking in downtown Aspen will be free on Saturdays beginning Sept. 7. Paid parking remains in effect Monday through Friday. Sundays are always free.

Carpools of two or more adults may pick up a free carpool parking permit at the Airport Parking Kiosk on weekdays between 6 and 11 a.m. Visit http://www.commuterconnect.net for help locating carpool partners.

High Mountain Taxi will provide free late-night service from Rubey Park to any city of Aspen bus stop on Fridays and Saturdays during the offseason. Service will be available at 12:30, 1, 1:30 and 2 a.m.
