Aspen’s eroding history
Dear Editor:
For a scene in The Aspen Soap, we shot a sequence in front of the rubble that was once the Given Institute.
It was then that I came hard against the reality and shame that I did not do much of anything to save this icon. Meanwhile, a piece of Aspen’s and my history is now mulch.
Oh, how I hope this travesty reminds us to preserve our heritage as a people and community for reasons far beyond that of simple commerce.
