Aspen plans Bike to Work Day events Wednesday at Paepcke Park

Aspen has a large cycling community, so for many every day entails biking to work.

But Wednesday you’ll get your rewards as Bike to Work Day will be celebrated at Paepcke Park on Main Street. This year the events runs in conjunction with the city’s Drive Less Save More initiative, which aims to get people out of their cars and use other options.

Those who are registered in the Drive Less campaign and bike to work will be entered in a raffles that include prizes for first time cycling to work, longest commute, most fun flair and having a great commute photo.

Bike to Work events at the Paepcke Park will run from 7 to 10 a.m. and prizes include bike gear, tune-ups and restaurant gift cards.
