Once every year, we publish full-page ballots in the paper for a few weeks, asking readers to vote for their local favorites – people, places, restaurants, bars, businesses, trails and other aspects of life in Aspen. And every year we publish the results in one special edition of the Aspen Times Weekly.And that’s what you’re reading right now, the 2006 edition of Aspen’s Best.As always, this year’s results include a few surprises – last year’s best burger and best ski shop winners were unseated this year – and a few winners that anyone would expect. But even though we knew “powder day” would be the best excuse to skip work, it’s still a hoot seeing what some of the other answers were.And aren’t you just dying to know where to find a one-night stand?Just admit it – and read on.
