Dear Editor:If Aspen were to deport all of its local undocumented workers – including Brits, Australians, Irish and Latinos – the entire Aspen economy would collapse.Bartenders, waitresses, construction workers and hotel maids are the backbone of this elite community. I’ve always equated Aspen to a little bit of heaven, much like my native San Francisco – a cut above.Let’s hope Aspenites not only continue their compassionate commitment to the arts, but also to the human condition and social justice.Louisa B.
