Aspen woman arrested for alleged thefts

ASPEN – An Aspen woman was arrested Monday for the alleged theft of items from Gorsuch Ltd. on two different days.
Daria Vladimirovna Fominova, 20, was arrested Monday evening after an employee of the store spotted her on Waters Avenue and called authorities, according to Aspen police.
She faces two counts of Class 4 felony theft for allegedly taking items valued at between $1,000 and $20,000. A sweater and pair of pants was allegedly taken Aug. 8, and a purse was taken from the Durant Avenue store on Aug. 17.
Fominova appeared in district court Tuesday, when her $10,000 bond was reduced to $2,500. She remained in the Pitkin County jail Tuesday afternoon.
