Aspen Valley Hospital CFO Terry Collins earns industry honor

Terry Collins

Aspen Valley Hospital Chief Financial Officer Terry Collins has been awarded the Founders Medal of Honor by the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

He was given the accolade last week at the Healthcare Financial Management Association conference in Denver.

Collins has been an active member of the association for almost 40 years, has served on numerous committees and boards of directors, and has contributed numerous hours to the organization whose purpose is to serve the health care industry and advance the health care finance profession.

Established in 1960, the Founders Merit Award Series acknowledges the contributions made by association members. This year, only two people in Colorado were presented the Medal of Honor.

“I have dedicated almost my entire career to the health care industry and have always felt that my role was bigger than my current employer,” Collins said. “I’ve enjoyed teaching, mentoring and volunteering in various capacities for the benefit of the profession. It is very gratifying to be recognized and to represent Aspen Valley Hospital.”
