Aspen to live it up on New Year’s Eve
The Aspen Times
On New Year’s Eve, the St. Regis Aspen Resort is hosting a 1920s speakeasy-themed gala with live music performances from Nikki Hill and Curtis Salgado.
General admission is $250 per person, which includes a welcome cocktail, hors d’oeuvres, a midnight dessert, a midnight champagne toast and a cash bar. VIP tickets are available for $500 per person, which includes bottomless champagne, a few gifts from Woody Creek Distillers, a midnight supper and a VIP lounge. The event begins at 9 p.m. in the St. Regis Grand Master Ballroom and ends at 2 a.m.
Roots rock ’n’ roll artist Nikki Hill, of North Carolina, and blues musician Curtis Salgado, of Washington, will play at 10 p.m. and 12:15 a.m., respectively. DJ DC, of Breckenridge, also will be spinning speakeasy mixes throughout the night. Event producer Joe Lang said it will be an evening of music and dance with a blend of blues, swing and hip-hop.
“It’s a great opportunity to dress up and wear Roaring ’20s attire, whether it’s black suits, flapper dresses,” he said.
Lang added that he hopes the speakeasy event will become a tradition at St. Regis on New Year’s Eve.
