Aspen to hold electronic-waste collection on Saturday

The city of Aspen’s Environmental Health Department, along with Electronic Recyclers International, is holding an electronic-waste collection event Saturday.

The free event, sponsored by LG Electronics USA, Inc., runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community Bank parking lot on Mill Street. Disposable items include televisions, monitors, computers, laptops, tablets, cellphones, printers, fax machines, keyboards, mice, stereo equipment, servers, telecom equipment, DVD players and copy machines.

Businesses may have their electronics picked up Friday. Businesses will be charged for these items: $0.21 per pound for display devices; $0.12 per pound for general ewaste; and free pickup for computers. Email or call 303-905-1453 to schedule a pick up.
