Aspen to help defray costs of childcare

ASPEN ” Kids First and the city of Aspen are providing a financial aid program to help defray the expense of childcare for working families. 

The deadline for applications is May 1, with assistance to begin June 1. Everyone who currently receives financial aid also must re-apply now.

Qualification guidelines are:

– Applicants must live or work in Pitkin County.

– Applicants’ children must be enrolled in a licensed childcare program in Pitkin County.

– The application for financial aid must be completed in full and include all required income and tax return information.

– Family income must fall within the guidelines established by Kids First/city of Aspen.
