‘Aspen – The Sitcom’ starting production

You’ve sat through “Aspen Extreme.” You’ve sniffed Aspen, the cologne. You’ve seen Aspen stereotyped in countless magazine and newspaper articles.

But you haven’t seen “Aspen – The Sitcom” – at least, not yet. But you may.

GTS Productions and Aspen’s Club Belvedere Studios have announced the development of “Aspen – The Sitcom.” The pilot is currently in production in Aspen and is scheduled to premiere at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. On July 4, a rollout party was hosted by “Aspen – The Sitcom” creator and executive producer Greg Simmons at Club Belvedere Studios.

According to a press release, the show “will take a humorous look at our small, glitzy, mountain town and will be based on true stories of the renowned Aspen lifestyle.” The story is said to center around an eccentric, wealthy couple who invite a group of friends to live in their Red Mountain mansion.
