Aspen student charged with pot distribution
Aspen, CO Colorado
ASPEN ” An Aspen High School student was charged Monday with a marijuana distribution count for allegedly selling the drug near the campus.
Judge James Boyd advised the student of the charge at a hearing in Pitkin County Court. The student, who was accompanied by a family member, faces one count of conspiracy to commit distribution of marijuana.
The student faces up to two years in juvenile detention if convicted as charged, based on sentencing guidelines.
The student was suspended from school following the incident, which apparently occurred on a pedestrian bridge between the Aspen Recreation Center and the high school.
