Four Aspen Soccer Club players recently were selected to the Olympic Development Program, representing the Western Slope of Colorado.

Margo McHugh and Chelsea Moore started and developed in the Aspen United Soccer Club and now play for the Aspen High School girls team. The Skiers recently played in the Class 3A state championships, winning a first-round game and losing in the second round.

Delaney Card and Kelley Francis currently play on Aspen United’s U14 team.

The Aspen players were invited out of hundreds who participated in tryouts by the Colorado Soccer Association, held over three weekends this spring.

The girls will travel to Arizona to test their skills in a semi-regional Olympic Development event, hoping for invitation to the larger Region IV ODP Camp in California.
