Aspen, CO Colorado
ASPEN – A Premier Aspen-Snowmass ski pass for the 2011-12 season will cost $1,549 when it goes on sale Monday, Aug. 15, the Aspen Skiing Co. announced Thursday.
Those who are eligible for the Aspen Chamber Resort Association discount will pay $1,139 for the full pass, good for unlimited skiing and riding, if the pass is purchased during the “super early season” discount period. Prices go up as the ski season nears.
The Double Flex Pass and Flex Pass cost $1,249 and $849, respectively, when sales begin Monday (or $989 for the Double Flex with the chamber discount, and $729 for the Flex Pass with the chamber deal). The Double Flex offers two days of skiing/riding each week of the winter season (22 weeks) and the Flex Pass offers one day each week on all four mountains plus the ability to add days at any time for $52 per day.
The Escape Pass is $319 and offers pay-as-you-go access for $52 per day. New this year, the Escape Pass must be purchased at least seven days in advance of its first use.
Passes will be on sale at the Aspen Mountain Ticket Office and the Snowmass Gondola Ticket Office, online at http://www.aspensnowmass.com and by phone at 970-923-1227 or 877-282-7736. Passes purchased at chamber discount prices must be purchased in person; a voucher from the appropriate chamber of commerce must be presented at time of purchase as proof of eligibility.
There are three deadlines for individual and chamber member Premier and Flex pass purchases. The best rates on the passes are offered through Sept. 16. Prices then rise for passes purchased Sept. 17-Nov. 11 and again for passes purchased after Nov. 11.
